Our Mission Statement

Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Service aims to combine its support and work for local charities and voluntary groups, with the development of its own projects delivering care in the community.

PKAVS was established to co-ordinate and encourage the activities of voluntary organisations for the benefit of all inhabitants in Perth and Kinross. This was the initial motivation that inspires our motto; helping others to help others

We understand that a successful society is dependent on individuals caring about other individuals. This is manifest in the many hours of unseen work done by relatives of friends for those in need.

People who do so much to help others, deserve help to support their kindness. We should not assume that their charity is unbounded, as individuals can only do so much. It is imperative that when so much is done out of kindness, much is done to ensure that it continues. This is what we do.

As well as delivering our own projects, we support the voluntary sector to be as effective and efficient as it can be, because its work is vital to the lives of us all.
