PKAVS Mount Etna Volcanic Challenge

Putting the spark into charity fundraising!

Etna2In September 2010, a team of 20 individuals from PKAVS and the wider community will be undertaking the ultimate fundraising challenge - climbing Europe’s most active and awesome volcano, Mount Etna, in Sicily.

Over five days, the PKAVS Team will trek 55km to the summit of the 3,350m high volcano, aiming to raise over £20,000 for PKAVS.
 
Etna 2The PKAVS Mount Etna Volcanic Challenge is promoting community participation and fundraising throughout Perth & Kinross, and we are inviting all sections of our community (our local business, schools, community, groups, and individuals) to help us raise funds by

Here are just some of the ways you can join in this Challenge and make your personal pledge...
 
PLEDGE TO ORGANISE YOUR OWN FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR PKAVS
 Why not get together with friends or colleagues and organise a fundraising event? From pub quizzes and cocktail nights to coffee mornings and raffles, there are a number of creative ways to raise funds.
PLEDGE A DONATION AND SPONSOR THE TEAM
 You can sponsor the PKAVS Etna Team online by visiting our Just Giving website. Just Giving is a simple and safe way to donate online to charity and is used by millions of donors every year to support their favourite charity. Visit us at:  www.justgiving.com/pkavsteam

Alternatively, you could send your donation by cheque (made out to PKAVS) to the Marketing & Development Team at PKAVS, The Gateway, North Methven Street, Perth, PH1 5PP.
PLEDGE TO SET YOURSELF A CHALLENGE!
Whether a sponsored run or leg wax, it can be great fun to set yourself a challenge for charity! Our Fundraising Team can help you with ideas, sponsor forms and even your own online fundraising webpage.

Fraser Band, local photographer, and Stephen Pirie from Stagecoach heard about the Etna Trek and made their Etna Pledge: "To raise £5,000 for PKAVS by riding their motorcycles from Holland, through 9 countries in just 3 days, to reach Catania in Sicily".
Etna1PLEDGE TO BECOME AN ETNA CORPORATE SPONSOR
There are a number of exciting opportunities for local businesses to add their support to this Challenge. We are looking for four Etna Summit Sponsors to join us as our main corporate partners and pledge a sponsorship / fundraising commitment of £1,500 to the Challenge.

Alternatively, you could name PKAVS as your Charity of the Year  or host a fundraising event in your workplace for us. The PKAVS Etna Team will be hosting a number of fundraising events in the run-up to the Trek, beginning with a Race Night on 9 April. Watch this space for our full events programme!
