Voluntary Action Perthshire

From 1 April 2010, CVS Perth & Kinross and Volunteer Centre Perth & Kinross merged to form Voluntary Action Perthshire - PKAVS Community Engagement department. At Voluntary Action Perthshire, we aim to:

  • Provide ‘business’ support to the voluntary and community sector.
  • Promote and support the sector.
  • Represent the sector at national and local government levels.
  • Provide training and consultancy for voluntary & community groups on a range of issues.
  • Help access funding for new and existing groups.
  • Promote volunteering across Perth & Kinross and enable voluntary organisations to recruit volunteers

Voluntary Action Perthshire Services

Training and Development staff can provide information, advice and support to voluntary groups on a range of issues including governance and management, organisational development, funding opportunities and charitable status.

Rural surgeries can be held in Crieff, Blairgowrie, Kinross and Pitlochry by prior arrangement. Tel: 01738 567076 for an appointment.

Changing the world can be hard, but we can help!

The Voluntary Action Perthshire team comprises two Managers and six Development Officers who support, promote and represent the voluntary sector in Perth and Kinross. The team is in contact with some 800 local groups and have helped a portion of these groups start up or become registered charities and many others recruit volunteers. The support services provided are free of charge.
