Council of Voluntary Service Perth & Kinross

As the CVS for Perth and Kinross, we aim to:

  • Provide ‘business’ support to the voluntary and community sector.
  • Promote and support the sector.
  • Represent the sector at national and local government levels.
  • Provide training and consultancy for voluntary & community groups on a range of issues.
  • Help access funding for new and existing groups.

CVS Services

CVS staff can provide information, advice and support to voluntary groups on a range of issues including governance and management, organisational development, funding opportunities and charitable status.

CVS rural surgeries can be held in Crieff, Blairgowrie, Kinross and Pitlochry by prior arrangement. Tel: 01738 567076 for an appointment.


Changing the world can be hard, but we can help!

We have one Manager and three Development Officers who support, promote and represent the voluntary sector in Perth and Kinross. The CVS team in contact with some 800 local groups and have helped a portion of these groups start up or become registered charities. The support services provided are free of charge.

Our development officers provide training on issues such as:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Employment law
  • Data protection
  • Health & safety
  • Governance & management

This is on top of all the individual help and advice that is given!
