Direct Payments

There are thousands throughout Perth & Kinross who receive care in the home due to illness, age or disability. Yet, the vast majority have no control over:

• Who the care attendant will be.
• When they come to your home.
• Exactly what they do.

It is usually Care Managers from social services that have the final say in these decisions but Direct Payments turns this around. It’s your care; it should be your choice.

Direct Payments Scheme

Working with the local authority, we run the Direct Payments Scheme whereby money is given to you which you use to pay for the care you receive.

You then decide who you employ, at what times they come and what they will do for you.

We help people manage the money given by the council and help when people are recruiting and interviewing people. We will also help produce reports for the local authority.
