PKAVS - What We Do

PKAVS has four main branches to its work: Carers; Youth; Community Initiatives; and Community Engagement. Within each branch are a number of diverse services supporting disadvantaged individuals in Perth & Kinross or working to strengthen the local voluntary sector. Click on the menu to the left to read all about us.

Are you a charity or community group in Perth & Kinross? PKAVS also provides a variety of services at affordable rates for the voluntary sector.

Our office base - The Gateway in North Methven Street, Perth - is a community hub, used by hundreds of people every week for work, meetings, support and advice. If you are a voluntary organisation, we can assist you with:

Meeting Rooms & Conference Facilities
We have 2 meeting rooms for up to 12 people and a conference suite that can seat 70 in theatre style. For more information, please go to Gateway Facilities.

Minibus Hire
We have two minibuses with wheelchair access available for hire. Rates are from £35 only. Minibus hire

Disclosure Checks
If you are a charity or a community group which has staff or volunteers working with children or vulnerable adults, then they must be checked through the Disclosure Scotland process.

PKAVS is a registered intermediary office of the Central Registered Body in Scotland (CRBS). This means that we can process the Disclosure Scotland application for you, which can save you a lot of time and money.

PKAVS is also a Trusted Partner of CRBS. Therefore, any organisation that wishes to be registered with CRBS can complete the visual identification part of the process with us rather than having to travel to Stirling.

For Disclosure application forms, contact Anne Wardlaw on 01738 567076.
