Education

The YAC service can help Young Adult Carers develop skills and build confidence in their ability to access education opportunities.

Our Education and Attainment Service for Young Carers (EasyC) can provide support to carers up to the age of 18. The service provides educational support in a number of ways including:

  • Remote Access to Study Supports
  • Time-limited private tuition
  • Emotional/Practical support to help with engagement
  • Access to Educational Hardware and Software

Perth College is proud to be working with Carers Trust Scotland and have recently gained the ‘Going Further for Student Carers’ recognition award, a scheme that aims to make it easier for higher education institutions to support student carers. Employment

The Young Adult Carers service offers support in helping Young Adult Carers develop and improve their employability skills when thinking of starting employment. We provide support in a range of areas including:

  • CV writing
  • Interview skills/techniques
  • Job search and applications
