Make a Referral

If you think you may be a Young Adult Carer, or know someone who is, you can access a referral form here or alternatively contact yacadmin@pkavs.org.uk or Tel: 01738 567076 (option 2)

Young Adult Carers are aged between 17-25 years old and care for a family member of any age, due to disability, mental illness, chronic/terminal illness or problems relating to substance misuse.

Young Adult Carers Can be responsible for :

Assisting with personal care e.g washing, bathing, dressing and administering medication
Domestic activities e.g cooking and laundry
Looking after siblings
Providing emotional support

PKAVS Carers Hub can offer

Support social, emotional and educational needs
Relieving stress and isolation
Raising awareness
Enabling young adult carers to meet on a regular basis

The service provides:

One-to-one support
Advice and information
Respite and activity breaks
Signposting
Regular social groups
