Scottish Huntington’s Association
The Scottish Huntington’s Association are a voluntary organisation which offers support and specialist advice to individuals and families living with Huntington’s Disease. The Tayside service employs 2 Huntington’s Specialists and an Admin/Resource worker. We are based at Kings Cross Hospital in Dundee and work with families in Dundee, Angus and Perth & Kinross.
The service aims to improve the quality of life for those living with Huntington’s Disease through specialist assessment, symptom management, information, advice and emotional support. We also offer support groups for affected individuals and carers and can refer on to our financial wellbeing and youth service for additional
support. We work closely with other health and social care professionals and can offer training and information.
Anyone can refer to the service and we usually visit people in their own homes but can meet at any suitable location. To make a referral, contact us on 01382 424172 or email paula.mcfadyen@nhs.net
