Event Description

This Awareness Session is for anyone who has not undertaken manual handling before or in more than two years and wish to keep themselves and others safe that they support.

Everyone attending will be asked to visit the www.easymanualhandling.com  website prior to attending face to face session. This is where you can look at current legislation and watch our videos on chair moves, wheelchairs and assisted walking.  The face to face training is two hours.

Attendees will be split into two small groups. All aspects of manual handling will be covered and everyone who attends will be encouraged to get involved through a range of conversations and demonstrations on safe and efficient techniques and manoeuvres.

The practical session will involve information on how to use current equipment such as wheelchairs and walking aids, and lots more.

We hope the course will encourage everyone to think and promote safer ways of working while looking after their own health and those of others either in work, life or the community.

There are two dates available for this training:

Tuesday 15th March 10am-12pm

Tuesday 22nd March 10am-12pm
