Learning Disability Week – Come and try Sport
February 22nd 2024, By April BlackAs part of Perth and Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership celebration of learning disability week, Perth & Kinross Disability Sport are delighted to invite participation from people of all ages with a learning disability to our ‘Come & Try Sport’ event on Thursday 9 May at the Academy of Sport & Wellbeing, UHI Perth.
In partnership with the Centre for Inclusive Living Perth & Kinross, Perth Strathtay Harriers, Perth Eagles Boccia Club, UHI Perth, Scottish Disability Sport and Get Out Get Active Tayside (GOGA), we are offering the opportunity to try out various sports and activities in a friendly and supportive environment to encourage more people into sport and physical activity, raise awareness of those regularly taking part at all levels, and address the barriers that lead to lower activity rates among people with a disability..
You will also get the opportunity to chat about any other sport you would like to try.
As with all our activities, there is no cost to participate.
