PKAVS 50th Anniversary

March 14th 2022, By Graham Illsley

This year, we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, half a century supporting thousands of local people and their communities, at the times when they need it most!

We now receive over 2,000 new referrals every year, have a turnover approaching £2.2 million, over 80 employees, and more than 150 volunteers. But most importantly, our impact on individuals, families, communities, charities, and others is always increasing.

PKAVS has grown into a charity that offers a breadth of support, including help for unpaid carers, those recovering from mental ill-health, members of minority ethnic communities, older people, volunteers, and the wider non-profit sector in Perth & Kinross.

It is our hardworking, enthusiastic, and dedicated employees and volunteers that make the true difference. We could do nothing without their commitment and willingness to go that extra mile, particularly over the last two years, during a global pandemic that has affected the lives of so many.

Without the support of so many funders, it would be impossible to continue our work, we would like to thank them all, past and present.

Over the year, we are planning a number of events to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we look forward to telling you more about them in the coming months…

On the 27th of May, we are holding our celebratory Charity Ball at Crieff Hydro. We would be thrilled if you could join us for an evening to remember, raising money for our valuable work. You can find out more about the event by clicking here.

We’ve put together a timeline of our last 50 years, check it out by clicking here.

If you would like to find out more about what we do, you can read our Annual Impact Report for 2020 – 2021 by clicking here.

Thank you again to everyone that has made our work possible!
