PKAVS Community Leadership Programme

August 8th 2022, By Graham Illsley

And stand up you did, right across Perth and Kinross.

A new wave of community leadership was borne from the Covid 19 pandemic. It has taken many guises.

At PKAVS, we have been working hard with experienced trainers and educators, with backing from the Gannochy Trust, to bring an accessible, participative and FREE, values-based leadership programme to the third sector in Perth and Kinross. Together, we hope to empower future generations of community leadership.

Join us for a community leadership programme like no other, with input from Rayya Ghul, Lori Hughes, Paul Laidlaw, Russell Willis Taylor, and Katherine Zeserson; covering topics such as personal leadership skills; diversity and inclusion in action; planning for change and impact; working with groups and more.

Interested? Excellent!

What are we looking for from our participants?

  • A commitment to see the programme through: 2 full days face to face, 3 half days online, between 25th October and 7th December plus self-directed learning
  • Your enthusiasm to try something new.
  • Authenticity – be you, nothing more, nothing less.
  • Your willingness to embrace new ideas and different ways of thinking.
  • Kindness – above all else.

In exchange, you will get;

  • Access to a curated resource of learning materials, one-to-one coaching
  • Greater confidence in your leadership abilities.
  • A county-wide network of peers.
  • Highly sought-after input from leading trainers.

Thinking this sounds great, but doubting if you are what we are looking for?  You absolutely are! Why not pick up the phone or drop us an email for some reassurance? 01738 567 076 or info@thirdsectorpk.org.uk

Diversity and inclusion are two core values of this programme.  With this in mind, we particularly welcome applications from women, young people, members of the LGBT community, those residing in rural areas and individuals from black and minority ethnic communities.  Our next generation of leaders should be representatives of the rich, diverse communities that live and work in the area.
