Tesco Family Fun!

August 17th 2017, By pkavs

On Saturday the 22nd of July, Crieff Road Tesco held a Family Fun Day in aid of PKAVS.

With a delicious chocolate fountain, candy floss, popcorn, face painting, and lots more, children and adults of all ages joined in the fun to raise money for prominent local charity PKAVS.

The day was a great success, generating over £500 to support the life-changing work PKAVS performs throughout Perth & Kinross supporting young and adult unpaid carers, adults recovering from mental ill-health, minority communities, voluntary groups, and volunteering.

Tesco Extra, Perth Store Manager Dave P. West, said: “Whilst we are dedicated and focused on serving our customers and enhancing their shopping experience in our stores across Perth, we are also keen to engage with and help to support our local community. PKAVS does a lot of great work in and around Perth and we were delighted to host the fun day and raise money for such a good cause and both customers and colleagues had such a good time.”

Graham Illsley, Marketing & Development Officer with PKAVS added, “The work Tesco carries out with local communities is fantastic, it is great to see a large company understanding and contributing to the communities around it. The Tesco Communities Team has a very proactive approach and we greatly appreciate that they are working to support our charities important local work.”
