How We Can Work With You

One in four people will experience a mental health issue in the UK. Recovery is possible and support from The Walled Garden and Wisecraft is here to ensure that the people of Perth and Kinross get the right support at a time they need it the most.

We are committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing journey of recovery. Using an integrative care approach we facilitate meaningful and therapeutic activities, recovery focused work, the promotion of healthy living and the development of community connections. Although our main focus is group activity work, we can also provide some 1-1 time and offer links to qualifications and training.

Figuring out what type of support suits your needs can help you feel better able to manage your mental health and wellbeing. Below will help you consider some of the benefits of group work and group activities:

  • Working with others provides extended support. Being in the company of others with similar issues can help you see that you’re not alone
  • Working with others helps you get a wider perspective on your current situation, something which can help you cope better
  • Groups can help propel your recovery; people often push themselves harder when they see what others are doing
  • Groups promote social skills, helping with feelings of isolation and encouraging re-engagement with the wider community

We also enable clients to help shape our service and the activities we provide. Through Personal Support Plans, IROC Outcome Measurement Tool and Talking Mats, we work closely with our clients to help them identify and achieve their own goals.
