Boost your wellbeing through woodwork!

Woodworking is an engaging craft that employs physical and creative skills. Similar to our other activity areas, no previous experience is required. We will take you through new skills, most of which you will be able to utilise at home, and for friends and family.

You might feel uncertain as to how such a hands on activity can bring about therapeutic benefits to your mental health. Through the concentration of each task or project your mind is occupied and is provided with a positive distraction from any stress or worry you may be facing. A sense of fulfilment is achieved through this craft, as creating something from scratch or achieving something you wouldn’t expect you could do brings about a sense of pride. While some people find it difficult to join groups, our woodworking ‘community’ is very welcoming and open to everyone of all ages and abilities. We have clients who are very experienced and happy to impart their wisdom and assist those who are just starting their woodwork journey. We are also seeing a growing number of female clients choosing this activity area, which gives inspiration for other women not to be afraid to try it out.

The general public are able to commission work which includes garden benches, tables, planters, signage and/or units (please see our price list within resources). Clients have the opportunity to contribute to these orders and work as a team to ensure the best quality product is delivered to our customers.
