Shopmobility Perth is here to help anyone with a mobility issue get around the city centre more easily and independently. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, we provide a range of equipment that helps you stay active and involved in everyday life.
Supporting you
We hire out mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walkers and other aids to make Perth more accessible. Day hires are free, and longer-term use is available for a small fee. We also offer minor repairs and maintenance advice.

What is Shopmobility Perth?
Shopmobility Perth provides mobility equipment such as scooters, wheelchairs, walkers and more to help people with reduced mobility get around the city safely and independently.
Who can use the service?
Anyone with a temporary or permanent mobility difficulty can use the service. You do not need to be registered disabled or have a blue badge.
Is there a cost to hire equipment?
Day hires are free if the equipment is returned by 4.00pm. Longer-term hires are available for a small charge. Donations are welcome to help keep the service running.
What kind of equipment is available?
We offer mobility scooters, electric and manual wheelchairs, walking frames, walking sticks, and all-ability bikes by pre-booking.
How do I register?
You’ll need to visit us in person to complete a short membership form with our team. After that, booking is quick and easy by phone.
Where is Shopmobility based?
We’re located at 31 Canal Street in Perth’s multi-storey car park, which is easy to reach by taxi or car and is right beside the disabled parking bays.
When is the service open?
We are open Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 4.00pm. Weekend and longer hires are available by arrangement.
Can you help me get the equipment to my car?
Yes. Our team can bring your scooter or chair to your car and collect it again when you return.
Do you offer bike hire?
Yes. We offer all-ability bikes for use at the South Inch. These must be pre-booked.
Opening hours and availability
Shopmobility Perth is open Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 4.00pm. Equipment can also be arranged for weekends and longer-term hires where needed.
The service has been running since 2004 and continues to grow. Our fleet now includes over 50 pieces of equipment. What remains unchanged is our dedication to helping people feel more independent and socially connected.
