YOUNG CARERS SUPPORT WORKER

Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our Young Carers team at PKAVS. This role is all about recognising and supporting the potential of young carers, helping them balance their caring responsibilities with opportunities to grow, connect, and have fun!

What you’ll do:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to young carers
  • Organise and deliver respite groups, holiday activities, and residentials
  • Work alongside schools, families, and partner agencies to ensure young carers feel seen, supported, and heard
  • Help young carers identify and achieve their personal goals

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience or strong interest in working with young people
  • Empathy, patience, and great communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a supportive team and on your own initiative
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
